FEBRUARY 2013

Our revels now are ended.

These, our actors, as I foretold you, were all spirits, and are melted into air, into thin air; and like the baseless fabric of this vision, the cloud-capp’d tow’rs, the gorgeous palaces, the solemn temples, the great globe itself, yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, and, like this insubstantial pageant faded, leave not a rack behind.

We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.

This blog is going to go dark for a period of time. It isn't because of less love for the subject - live theatre has often been the prime motivator of my life. Rather, it is for this very reason I pause. Simply, I can't keep up. With 40 plus groups pumping out shows at an -end-of-the-world pace, I find myself spending more time reading newsletters and Facebook announcements than I do actually participating in the craft. And, selfishly, the whole purpose here was to promote EVERYTHING equally. To omit even one presentation by even one theatre results in unintentional favoritism, and that I cannot abide.

So. Adieu for now, gracious readers. Adieu and fare you well. I appreciate your support more than you know. And, this parting does not mean we shall never meet again. The blog will remain, and with some serious contemplation, may rise again in another hopefully useful form.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

     February 1.

We learned today that TAPA will be going dark. This is sad, they certainly will be missed. Hopefully this is only a momentary set-back, and that they will return soon, larger than ever.
